ETVT DDC System, Address Setting Procedure Using PC and Direct Quick-Wire Connection To Unit
This procedure is necessary when addresses are the same, ie. initial startup.
- Run Set Address Program with the command option stating communications port that INT1 and unit is connected to (see command line options in command section). It makes no difference if the unit's Zone and/or SCU communication ports are already connected together.
- The present address of the unit will be displayed on screen, along with a place to enter the new address.
- Type in the new address for the unit and press enter. If the address is valid for the unit, it will show as the new address on screen. Otherwise, the original address will be displayed. Valid unit addresses are:
- 0, 100, 200, 300,.., 9900 for SCUs
- 1..64, 101..164, 201..264, 301..364,.., 9901..9964 for Zones
- 65, 165, 265, 365,.., 9965 for BTCs
